About MyWarehouseInUSA

What this site is

MyWarehouseInUSA is an independent editorial site that explains how warehousing works in the United States. We are not a broker, a listings site, or an advisor. Our goal is that a business understands the landscape and the decision before anyone quotes them a price.

Who it’s for

The site is written for two audiences: businesses outside the US that need warehousing in the US and need the landscape and requirements explained from zero, and domestic businesses running a search. The guides cover entity and customs requirements, state differences, taxes and costs, security and compliance, and how to start your search.

Editorial and sourcing policy

The site’s value is being trustworthy about a subject where wrong information is expensive. Accordingly:

  • We cite sources for every figure. Tax rates, statutory requirements, filing thresholds, state-specific rules, and dollar figures must come from a real source that is cited — or they are not stated at all.
  • We prefer primary sources. We use primary sources such as statutes, the Code of Federal Regulations, CBP, the IRS, state revenue departments, the Federal Register, and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics wherever possible. We use reputable secondary compilations, such as Tax Foundation research or broker market reports, only when clearly attributed.
  • We never publish invented figures, rankings or prices. If we cannot source a claim, we remove it rather than approximating to fill a page.
  • Guides show an “updated” date and are revised when rules change. Where information is time-sensitive, we date-stamp it in the prose and tell readers to re-verify.

Scope

This site provides general information about warehousing in the United States. It is not legal, tax, customs, or financial advice. Regulations, tax rules, and filing requirements change, and the specifics of your situation matter. Verify current requirements with the relevant authority or a qualified professional before acting.

Corrections

We revise guides when rules change or when we find an error, and each guide shows the date it was last updated.
